Google goes down, Google goes down

10/28/2005... about 4:10 PM (CST)

Saw this today, and it just tickled me.

For those of you who don't know it, this site is more or less blacklisted from Google.. So I always get a warm fuzzy from things like this.

11/11/2005 6:46:12 PM Officially it`s not. However, for years this site was very big in the Google rankings...

One thing to note is that I recently switched this to inserttitle.com instead of insert-title.com... so the inserttitle.com is actually indexed now... somewhat.

Anyways - the unofficial blacklisting started within 2 or three weeks of my having published some articles about Google and specifically about circumventing thier policies concerning duplicated content with regards to Amazon Associates web sites.... however that is unofficial.

I took down all my Amazon content afterwards and emailed them about 6 months later telling them I took it all down.... nothing has changed since then...

To add some validity to these statements: This site is linked to by thousands and thousands of sites, mostly due to the Multiple IE article... yet no page ranks... odd, huh?

Furthermore, this site is linked to by not just run-of-the-mill sites but almost every major CSS guru on the planet.
